RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Bethany Lutheran School has been a nationally accredited school since 1988. In May of 2011, for the fifth time, Bethany successfully completed a rigorous National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA) evaluation. Not all private/parochial schools have achieved this accreditation status. This accreditation evaluation is accepted by the State of Ohio, Department of Education as its Standards Compliance Evaluation. Bethany is a Chartered Non-Public School by the State of Ohio, Department of Education, and operates under the jurisdiction, and guidelines of the State of Ohio, Department of Education.

EXEMPLARY LUTHERAN SCHOOL

(March 2012) The National Commission for National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA) released a press release announcing that Bethany Lutheran was selected as an "Exemplary School" for 2012-2013. Only four Lutheran Elementary schools across the USA were given this honor and Bethany is the first Lutheran School in Ohio. The award was part of a two year process, that involved visits by two different accreditation teams that determined Bethany exceeds the standards evaluated for accreditation and is using "best practices" within our educational process that other Lutheran schools can learn from. The "Exemplary School" status is the highest accreditation status that NLSA awards, and is an honor to achieve. NLSA supervises the accreditation of about 1,000 Lutheran Elementary schools in the USA and foreign countries.
