RESOURCES AND LINKS FOR PRESCHOOL
In 3 year old Preschool, we will learn about ourselves, and how to interact with one another in developmentally appropriate ways.
We do many fine motor activities, such as stringing beads, to strengthen the muscles in our fingers.
Our Preschool Tree has been an ongoing project since August. We painted boxes and stacked them to create the tree. We added sticks, leaves and brought in animals to place in the tree. After fall, we removed the leaves and added snow. We also began the process of discussing where the animals go during the winter.
We will discover all the wonderful things that God made in this world for us to explore, and learn about God’s love for us as we grow and develop.
Some of our daily experiences will include enriching art activities, singing songs, dancing, and listening to stories. We also conduct science experiments, like the one shown here, where students use a salt solution to uncover items frozen in a block of ice.
Dramatic play supports the imagination, social, and emotional development. Our dramatic play area has been transformed into a pet shop, a pirate ship, travel agency and an American Idol stage.
Playing in the sand is a great way to strengthen our fine motor skills and encourage sharing and problem solving.
We love to write! We have opportunities to write in every area of the classroom.
Shaping the minds of future architects and engineers.
We love doing open ended art activities! Some days you will find us printing, making, collaging, creating, sewing or using paper mache'.
