Mr. David Sellke - Fifth Grade

Biography

Mr. Sellke created the phrase

"In His Name we Pray and Play"

and has coached and

given many presentations in regards to Christian Athletics.

The central purpose of fifth grade is to nurture each childs' faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior. We will daily worship God and study his Word as found in the Bible. The Gospel is taught with joy daily and our relationships in class are based upon the Gospel. We will use effective and current learning and teaching techniques and materials. I hold high, yet appropriate expectations for the students and believe that all students need to be successful.  Students need to be both challenged and helped toward their faith and live "by faith in the Son of God who loved me and game Himself for me." Galatians 2:20. I will help them become more responsible stewards of their time, talent, treasure, and testimony in a joy-filled life. My job is to help equip students to serve God and others. I will encourage parents to provide the primary training for their children to have family devotions and to take their children to weekly worship.

Inside 5th Grade
