Mr. Paul Rasoletti

Band Instructor

My Connection to music began many years ago when I received my first trumpet and began taking lessons. Now, years later I can appreciate the importance of having had phenomenal music teachers in my formative years. This connection to music became so strong that God led me to make it a career path.

I received my B.M.E. degree from Baldwin-Wallace College and began teaching in the Cleveland Municipal School District. I taught instrumental music in grades K-12  in multiple schools. I served as the head of the Fine Arts Departments in two of those schools. In the summers during that time I also completed additional course work at Kent State, Baldwin-Wallace and Notre Dame Universities. After 35 years of service, I retired from the Cleveland Muni. Schools.

In 2014, God presented an opportunity to continue sharing my love of music by becoming the band director at Bethany. This also allowed me to work in concert with my wife, Janis as she fulfills her role as the vocal music teacher here at Bethany. We are both blessed to teach some of our own grandchildren here at Bethany!

Band is offered to all students in grades 4-8. Students in Beginning Band, grade 4 may participate at no cost. They must have an instrument.

The Advanced Band fee, starting in grade 5 is $150.00 per year, per child. This is payable in two installments of $75.00 each, due in August and January.

The band course consists of one full band rehearsal and one small group lesson per week, specific to the student’s instrument choice.

Performance opportunities include: A Christmas or winter program and a spring program.

Our band program is rooted in the pure joy of playing an instrument and developing a life-long love of music.
