I grew up in the Cleveland western suburb of North Olmsted, attending St. Thomas Lutheran School and Lutheran High School West, both in Rocky River, Ohio.
I was a fourth grade teacher here at Bethany Lutheran School for eight years (2001-2009). Then, in 2009, the congregation asked me to become an Assistant Pastor and helped me finish my seminary education. In 2010 I was ordained at Bethany and called by Bethany to be its Associate Pastor.
My wife Linda and I have been married for over 23 years. We have two girls, Rachel and Kayla. Both girls are Bethany graduates and graduates of Lutheran High School West. I enjoy spending time with my family and I love sports, especially Cleveland professional sports teams. Just recently, a 52-year-old hope of mine was realized: I was able to witness a Cleveland professional sports team win a championship. (Thanks, Cavs!) During that 52-year period, I often thought that my hope would never be realized. Thank God that that hope is nothing like the sure and certain hope that we have of eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Bethany is a great place to be. I am thankful that this is the place the Lord led me and my family. Bethany has truly been a blessing to us and I know it can be a blessing for you, too.
